Walking and doing stationary bicycling are the exercises that also can be done by those who cannot tolerate heavy exercises.
The importance of a good sleep in the alleviation of pain in FMS is of utmost significance and hence one has to watch and improve one’s sleeping habits. If one keeps regular sleeping times it gets easy to have sleep early. The consumption of caffeine and alcohol before bedtime also affects the sleeping pattern. One must also avoid having naps in the afternoon because this can disturb the night time sleeping pattern. Staying away from stress helps to reduce the symptoms of fibromyalgia. One should get into bed right away watching television or reading or working on the laptop reduces the chances of having a good night’s sleep.
